Chris Rock’s Mom Gets It Right!

Rose Rock has written a parenting book. Now most of you know Chris Rock and most uber Christians don’t like him. He cusses A LOT! Get passed that cussing and he has a strong message in his comedy. Yes, he gets crass with his opinion of women, I tend to think of it as locker room humor where guys would spout things off for effect but he is willing to address valid issues. 

He says living in his old neighborhood the place to hide your money was in books. No one read so no one would be stealing books. His parents, he states, made him study, made him behave and made him pursue a destiny. His comedy is smart and poignant, I know he had parents who care. 

Rose Rock has been on the interview circuit recently with her new book entitled Mama Rock’s Rules: Ten Lessons for Raising a Houseful of Successful Children. She should know she raised ten of her own and 17 foster children. That gives any woman saint status in my book. After 27 kids you’d have strait-jacket me and send me to a “home”. 

She has been asked about her son’s foul language and she says he has never spoken around her with those words nor around his wife and children with those words. I’ll be interested in reading what she has to say. I agree with the things I’ve heard so far. Here’s a excerpt from an interview with MSNBC.
